Catching up with Robbie Grossman

Teaser alert: Check out tomorrow's edition of The Bradenton Herald or the much-improved for my story on Robbie Grossman, currently participating in his first big-league spring training.

Grossman spent the last two seasons with the Bradenton Marauders and was named the Pirates' Minor League Player of the Year in 2011. Past winners of the award include Andrew McCutchen, Jose Bautista and Pedro Alvarez.

I spoke with Robbie about his spring, his stint in the Arizona Fall League and about where he hopes to be come April. And I also spoke to Pirates general manager Neal Huntington about how Robbie earned his big-league invite and what the organization hopes he gets out of it.
