Biggest crowd ever. Again.
(photo from wikipedia)
Another day, another record crowd at McKechnie Field.
The Pirates and Red Sox are playing in front of 6,644 fans - the most ever to pack the downtown ballpark.
The previous record didn't stand for long - it was March 13 when 6,602 fans came to see the Pirates and...yep, those Sawx. That's now the second-biggest crowd, ahead of the 6,315 who were here last Wednesday to see the Pirates and Blue Jays.
Been a busy year at McKechnie.
John Bowker hit a two-run home run for the Pirates here in the seventh, giving them a 7-4 lead.
