Speedwagon hits McKechnie Field

The best thing about a baseball game is you never know when you'll see a no-hitter, a perfect game - or a bit-past-its-heyday rock band throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
We won't see the first two today at McKechnie Field, where the Pirates lead the Orioles 1-0 and each team has at least one hit. But we did see REO Speedwagon throw out the first pitch.
The 1970s rockers/80s balladeers are at the Van Wezel tonight, where you better fire up your Bics for this classic heart-tugger.
