BRADENTON - We're in the top of the sixth, and the Jays lead the Buccos 4-2.
David Cooper and Edwin Encarnacion have homered for the Jays, and Neil Walker hit one for the Pirates.
Some random thoughts:
- Stewart Harris, today's anthem singer, was incredible. His classy, understated renditions of both anthems earned a rousing ovation from the crowd, as well as one from us cynical folk in the press box.
- What a crowd! A Wednesday afternoon? The Blue Jays?! Haven't received an official attendance figure just yet, but this could be McKechnie's second straight sellout this spring. And the Blue Jays?! Oh, Canada, indeed.
