Pedro Alvarez now has more home runs than errors.
The Pirates third baseman lined a solo shot over the wall in center today at McKechnie Field, where the Buccos trail the Astros 7-5 in the bottom of the seventh.
It was the first home run of the spring for Alvarez, who has been battling a bad case of the whiffs recently. He struck out twice before hitting his home run, giving him 21 strikeouts in 53 at-bats this spring.
But he hasn't made an error!
Pirates trail 7-6 heading into the eighth.
