Thought I'd go with an old-school Pirates logo today, since the Pirates are the home team in Bradenton. This is John Lembo, and the above piece of art from sportslogos.net was used from 1948-59.
The 2011 Pirates host the Red Sox today at McKechnie Field. The Sox were here last on March 13, where a crowd of 6,602 - the biggest in the ballpark's history - watched the Buccos rally for a 9-4 win.
