An entertaining first inning to say the least. The Twins peeled off three runs via an error and a two-run home run. That dinger was struck by Kennys Vargas and landed over the left field wall.
In the bottom of the first inning, Josh Harrison singled off the left field wall, but was pegged out at second trying to stretch it into a double by left fielder Eddie Rosario.
Jung Ho Kang nearly put Pittsburgh on the board, but his flyball down the left field line whistled just wide of the foul pole.
It's 3-0 Minnesota after one inning at McKechnie Field.
