Pittsburgh catcher Francisco Cervelli gets ready for the pitch in Tuesday's game with Houston. JASON DILL/jdill@bradenton.com |
Offensive fireworks so far here at McKechnie Field. The Houston Astros plated four runs in the top of the third inning off a double and home run. The long ball was courtesy of Jason Castro.
In the Pirates' half of the frame, Neil Walker slammed a three-run bomb to right field to account for Pittsburgh's tally.
It's 4-3 through the first third of this Grapefruit League game, with 10 hits combined between the teams. Will the offensive output continue on this St. Patrick's Day? Stay tuned in to find out.
