Final: Twins 1, Pirates 1
There won't be any free baseball today. The Minnesota Twins and Pittsburgh Pirates remained tied at 1-1 after nine innings, and the game was called. That's not an uncommon sight for Spring Training games, and it's the second consecutive occurrence here at McKechnie Field. The Pirates tied the Rays, 1-1, on Saturday. That game went 10 innings, before play was halted.
Miguel Sano tallied the lone Minnesota run on a solo homer to deep left-center field off Gerrit Cole in the top of the second inning.
The Bucs struck first with Neil Walker doubling home Andrew McCutchen, who also doubled, in the first inning.
Check out Tuesday's editions of the Bradenton Herald for more on this story.
