End of 7: Twins 8, Pirates 3

It's a hit parade at McKechnie Field with both clubs producing 21 hits through seven innings. The Twins lead 8-3 thanks to a pair of three-run innings. They scored three times in the first inning, and three more in the fifth inning. Each frame was highlighted by a two-run home run. Kennys Vargas was the culprit in the first inning, while Eddie Rosario smacked the two-run homer in the fifth inning.
Pittsburgh plated three runs in the bottom of the sixth in its lone scoring of the day so far.
Tony Sanchez doubled home Stetson Allie, then later scored on a Gorkys Hernandez single. Steve Lombardozzi scored on a passed ball, too.
