Final: Yankees 2, Pirates 1

It's a wrap at McKechnie Field, which saw its first sellout this spring with 7,880 fans flocking to the Bradenton park to see the New York Yankees and the Pittsburgh Pirates play.
The Yanks defeated the Bucs, 2-1.
Garrett Jones accounted for the Yankees' first run when he doubled in Chris Young in the top of the fifth inning.
Jaff Decker's single in the bottom of the sixth inning plated Willy Garcia for Pittsburgh's lone run.
Tyler Austin's deep home run to left field in the top of the eighth inning broke the 1-1 deadlock.
Both teams collected nine hits, but stranded a ton of runners.
Bradenton's John Ryan Murphy made the trek from Tampa, and was awarded the starting spot behind the plate. He hit in the No. 5 spot in the order, and went 0-for-3 at the dish.
Look for a story on Murphy and more on the game in Friday's Bradenton Herald.
