Final: Twins 8, Pirates 3
The Minnesota Twins closed out the Pittsburgh Pirates, 8-3, in front of 6,363 fans at McKechnie Field on Friday.
Minnesota used a pair of three-run innings, highlighted by two, two-run home runs en route to the victory.
Kennys Vargas and Eddie Rosario were the contributors of the homers.
Pittsburgh scored more than one run at home for the first time this spring. The Pirates hadn't accomplished the task in their previous five Grapefruit League games in Bradenton.
On Friday, the Bucs scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. Steve Lombardozzi scored on a wild pitch before Stetson Allie scored on a Tony Sanchez double. Sanchez later scored on Gorkys Hernandez's single.

And be on the look out this Sunday for the next home game at McKechnie Field, when the Pirates host the Baltimore Orioles from nearby Sarasota.
The Buccos travel to Fort Myers to face the Boston Red Sox in a 1:05 p.m. scheduled game Saturday. Gerrit Cole is slated to start opposite Boston's Henry Owens.
