Today's Grapefruit League meeting between the Tampa Bay Rays and Pittsburgh Pirates is scoreless through three innings.
The Rays and Pirates have collected two hits apiece.
Tampa Bay has had the better opportunities so far, but have stranded four runners and are 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position.
Tim Beckham sent the early game warning shot when he blasted A.J. Burnett's second pitch in the top of the first inning to deep right-center field. Keon Broxton, though, made a leaping grab against the wall.
